Clove essential oil is particularly rich in phenols, mainly eugenol, which gives it its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, eugenyl esters contribute to its characteristic scent and soothing action. The sesquiterpenes and caryophyllene it contains also provide benefits in terms of immune support and pain relief.
